01 // ABOUT ME
An engineer merging technical expertise with management vision
I'm a System Engineer based in Istanbul. My career in IT began at Istanbul Technical University's IT Head Department back in 2023 as a part-time IT Assistant. What started as a supporting role quickly turned into something much bigger. Over the course of three years, I earned four promotions — from IT Assistant to IT Specialist, then System Administrator, and Junior System Engineer.
Each step brought deeper responsibilities: I went from learning the basics of infrastructure support to managing enterprise-level Linux and Windows server environments, deploying containerized services with Docker and Kubernetes, automating workflows with AWX, and keeping the university's core systems running smoothly across Active Directory, DNS, mail services, databases, and virtualization platforms.
Along the way, I explored the networking side of things just as deeply. I spent over a year working hands-on with Cisco IOS across our WAN, setting up DHCP and ZTP environments, and configuring Nokia routers. I also had the opportunity to work at Nokia Turkey as an IP Network & Automation Engineer, where I earned my NRS-1 certification and contributed to a nationwide configuration audit project with Türk Telekom.
Beyond the technical side, I'm studying Management Engineering at ITU, which has given me a strong foundation in Economics, Marketing, Management & Organization, and Management Information Systems. These courses have shaped how I think about IT decisions — from cost efficiency and resource planning to process optimization — and I've applied this perspective in several academic and real-world projects.
I've also taken on additional roles to broaden my perspective. I spent time at QNB Finansbank's IBTech division managing endpoint devices through VMware Workspace ONE, and I currently work remotely with ComputerPathways, a U.S.-based company, delivering full-stack IT support for clients across the United States.
"I'm driven by curiosity, I thrive under responsibility, and I believe the best way to grow is to keep building — one system, one project, one challenge at a time."
